2023 - 2024 Projects
Developing A Level Pedagogy
Summary
This project provides national support for the effective development of pedagogy in the teaching of A level Mathematics to enhance the quality of teaching and the conceptual understanding of students, and the development of participants as leaders of A level teaching professional development in their own school or college.

Time Commitment: 3 full days
Cross Phase - Supporting Low Attainers to Achieve a L2 Qualification in Mathematics
Summary
This work group will focus on developing transferable teaching techniques aligned to teaching for mastery. Participants will attend three full-day workshops and complete practise-based tasks between sessions.

Time Commitment: 3 full days (November, February, and June)
Developing Core Maths Pedagogy
Summary
This project will contribute to the wider national effort to support teachers and leaders increase the growth in uptake and delivery of Core Maths in schools and colleges and to embed a culture of Core Maths within school and college maths departments with confidence.

SKTM New to Teaching Core Maths
Summary
The purpose of this programme is to support teachers across London, who are new to teaching Core Maths, in developing specialist knowledge for teaching Core Maths and to increase their confidence in teaching the course. This programme is for teachers in their first 2 years of teaching the qualification.

2024 - 2025 Projects
Post-16 GCSE/FSQ Mastery Specialist Programme
Summary
Mastery Specialists are classroom practitioners who have developed expertise in the mastery approach to teaching maths. Through rigorous and interactive training, they have become experts in introducing and embedding mastery. After first developing a mastery approach in their own classrooms, they progress to supporting colleagues in their own and other schools.

Professional Development Lead Programme
Summary
If you have existing experience as a leader of professional development and wish to develop further in this role, this programme is for you. Your prior experience could be within your own setting/organisation or more widely, including work with your local hub. Experience and an ongoing commitment to lead professional development for teachers of maths is an essential requirement for recruitment to the programme.
